Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh, we will be welcomed by our tour guide at the Tan Son Nhat international airport and then transfer to hotel. Ho Chi Minh City, better known as Saigon, is located on the right bank of the Saigon River. The rest of the day of arrival is at leisure.
Overnight in Saigon.
We have our breakfast at the hotel and start the day with a visit to the most important sights of the city. We visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Post Office, the Reunification Palace, the Saigon Municipal Opera House, and the War Remnants Museum, to learn about the Vietnam War. In the afternoon, the travelers will have free time to stroll around the famous Ben Thanh market to your heart's content and maybe even get some souvenirs for your home until transfer to airport for flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival at Da Nang, transfer to Hoi An and check-in at the hotel.
Overnight in Hoi An.We begin the day with breakfast. We then tour around the port city of Hoi An. We visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, built in 1593 by the Japanese community of Hoi An to connect its district with the Chinese on the other side of the river. We then visit the Sa Huynh Museum near the bridge followed the Tran Chapel, built about 200 years ago by the Tran family members for ancestral worship, the Phuoc Kien Assembly Hall, a Hoi An based pagoda typical of the Chinese families residing in Hoi An. The tour ends with an excursion to a lantern workshop. Free at leisure in the afternoon.
Overnight in Hoi An.We have our breakfast at the hotel. Later in the afternoon, we are transferred to the Da Nang Airport for a trip to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Hanoi, we are greeted by our local tour guide at Noi Bai International Airport and transferred to the hotel.
Overnight in Hanoi.This morning, we visit Newton School (or similar) to interact with the teachers and children here. In the afternoon, we start our Hanoi city tour with its must-see sights; the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Temple of Literature. After that, we can walk freely in the Old Street and the Hoan Kiem Lake.
Overnight in Hanoi.From Hanoi, we drive to the unique Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful landscapes in Southeast Asia. As you drive through the bay, you can enjoy the fantastic scenery of the sky, bright emerald green water and thousands of limestone cliffs.

As we continue our tour of the bay, breakfast is served on board. We then embark on a sampan, small boat, to visit the Luon Cave. After returning on-board and enjoying a lavish brunch, we arrive back to Hanoi via Noi Bai International Airport for a flight to Luang Prabang. On arrival at the Luang Prabang Airport, we will be met by our local guide and transferred for check-in at the hotel. We are free to stroll around the city for our own very first impression of this ancient city.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.Our day begins as the first rays of the sun strike this gentle land. We prepare ourselves to witness the sacred Laotian tradition, dating back to the 14th century. A large number of Buddhist monks from various temples gather their daily meals from the residents by sitting quietly on the streets. From there, we have a chance to experience the Laotian local life at a temporary morning market near the former Royal Palace. Locals barter their produces and day's catches here.
After enjoying breakfast, we visit the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. Our next stop is the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We continue the journey and take the boat downstream the Mekong River to Ban Sing, enjoying the peaceful scenery of the countryside. Transferring to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls later where we can take a cooling swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. We can see the Asiatic bears up close at the Bear Rescue Centre en route to the waterfalls. Arriving in Luang Prabang, we visit the Traditional Art & Ethnology Center to learn about ethnic groups in Laos.
From there, we climb the 329 steps to the top of Phousi Hill for a beautiful view of the sunset in the city and its bright reflection on the Mekong River.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.After breakfast, we have free time before transferring to the airport for a flight to Siem Reap. We arrive in Siem Reap for a night's stay in one of Indochina's exquisite properties, the Raffles Grand Hotel d' Angkor.
Overnight in Siem Reap.Our explorations of Indochina comes to an end today as we head to the airport for our final departure flight.
