The Rongai Route, Kilimanjaro's easiest routes has become an increasingly popular route in recent times. The route is located on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro with a variety of spectacular landscapes together with different flora and fauna. The typical duration for this trip is six days. However, we can also add an acclimatization day and make it a 7-day of the climb.
The Rongai Route is aesthetically pleasing than the Marangu Route and comparatively more accessible than other camping routes in climbing Kilimanjaro, as well as the success rate on the Rongai Route is very high. Unlike the Marangu Route where we sleep in huts, on the Rongai Route, we sleep in tents, the porter will have the tents pitched and waited for us at the end of each day's trek. One of the least traveled routes, it starts on the north side of the mountain just to the south of the Kenyan border. The path merges with the Marangu Route for the summit climb. The descent follows the Marangu Route on the mountain's southeast side where we can see Kilimanjaro from many viewpoints.
